Some Zaan owners mentioned in bigmark408 thread that your lockbar is moving.

Im confused! The lockbar on my Zaan locks up at strong 85%...solid as a Rock.

If the lockbar on your Zaan is moving at all it Shouldnt Be.

What % of lockup does your Zaan have if its moving?

A Zaan thats broken in should open with a clack and solid!

I've EDCed the zaan for a little over a month solid with no lock bar movement to date.

It has locked up solid (with a Snap) since day one and only opens and closes better with everyday that goes by.

The only thing about the Lock Bar that had me worried at first, it was really hard for me and impossible for others to close with one hand.
Now, It works so smooth, I just use it and don't even have to think about the operations of opening and closing.
It like walking into a room and turning on a light switch without thinking about it.

Thanks Chris Reeve, for making a Great everyday Work knife that works for me.

Mine locked up at 80% and has no side to side movement. If I squeezed the lockbar it would move vertically, up and down. That is what caused the slight vertical blade play.

I'm sending my knife in as soon as I can afford to. I'm sure it's fixable, and that this is just a by-product of putting such a radically new design out into the market.
It's not unreasonable that there would be kinks to work out.

I cleaned mine with some q-tips and relubed it, lock seems much firmer when opened at normal speed.

I now see the deflection of the lock bar you guys are talking about if you push the lock bar toward the frame with the blade open....i have tried it on all my zaans and haven't been able to cause any blade play what so ever....i still have as much faith in the lock as much as my sebenza's.
