Zaan pivot question?

I was wondering if anyone can rotate the pivot and move it when the knife is closed? Pinch the pivot with thumb and index finger while moving the rest of the knife up and down. Does it rotate or stay solid?

My pivot bushing rotates just like you describe. I set it like this. If I notice the knife opening a little stiff, I rotate it like 1/4 turn and it loosens it up so to speak. This in my experience keeps the zaan super smooth. Ever since I got my zaan, my sebbie has had zero pocket time. The Umnumzaan is the King of CRK Folders. I love my zaan... !!!

I don't know as the knife isn't handy at the moment. It might, my SMF did that.

Yup, I can move the pivot round on my Umnum, the action also becomes a bit stiffer if I don't keep it at the "sweet spot" as well.

+1 to all that.... same here.

Although it is a bit of a toss up between the Zaan and the Mnandi. Well, real knife, Zaan.

Mine is static. Knife opens up smoothly. Got it that way when I received it.

Is the pivot supposed to move when opening and closing the knife?

Mine is also static but opens up very smoothly so I'm not worried about it. Once I get my Tanto zaan back I'll check it out as well.

Mine did that from the factory.
I removed the loctite, and now keep it tightened to the extent that the pads of my thumbs will do.
It no longer rotates; I like it that way.
Less "flicky", but that means less chance of a "gravity knife" charge.
