I've had my Zaan for about 8 months or so and I carry it every day. For the last couple months now, the pivot has been coming loose. No bid deal, I know I need to loctite it after I clean it. The issue is, now the screw that goes trough the spacer isn't staying tight. Matter of fact, it won't even let me tighten it down like it used to (used to let me snug it down). One day i caught it just before it fell out, and the handle scales will move. I've never had this with my Sebbie.

I was wondering if anybody has seen this happen, and if this is an issue I should send in, or just loctite it like the pivot?

Sounds like the opposite side is spinning also, it's been suggested that if you don't have a pair of the small allen wrenches, use a pencil eraser to hold back up while you tighten it. It should grab and let you tighten it down. Or, take it down wash the slabs and let them dry. I have a 25 that did the same thing, evidently some dirt/dust got between the Ti and screw and both sides spun. After a thorough washing/drying, it was not an issue.

Awesome. Thanks for the tip. I'll try it when I clean the knife tonight once kids go down. Then will report back.

Much appreciated!
