Has anyone had experience with using, or just general knowledge about, Russian ZDI 1016 (damascus stainless steel)?
Her's a link about it, but I'd like to hear from anyone who owns a knife with this steel.

Thanks for your time and for any info. you may be able to contribute.
Happy Father's Day to all of the Dads out there.
Stay safe, birdave (Joe).

I know I was.looking at a Chebukov strizh in this steel and liked the way it looks. I've seen a few others using it too.. Reminds me of Damasteel a bit, which always catches my eye!!!!
Hopefully others can give you some more info!

Thanks for weighing in, jfk1110. I saw the model of Cheburkov Strizh you're talking about. It looks Great, but haven't heard from anyone about the steel, specifically. I would think someone on this forum would own one of those. Stay safe.

You might try posting this in the general knowledge and or knife makers threads too. They both get.much more action than this area!!!

Having the same issue finding information... girlfriend wants to get me a Mongolian knife and she's asking which steel I prefer, it's a bunch of Russian steels, including ZDI 1016 and I just can't find any actual information on them, I posted on reddit asking for info but I'll be surprised if I get any replies.
