I'm not sure if this is common knowledge already, but I've seen others mention that there is no official word from spyderco about the composition of ZDP-189. I was intrigued to find this in the box with my ZDP Dragonfly:

It seems to rely on the carbon and chrome content for the majority of the cutting performance with a variety of other components present in small percentages to spice up the main ingredients. I'm no metalurgist, but in other super steels I'm used to seeing higher percentages of some of these such as Vanadium.
