I was wondering if its normal when you turn on the speed-safe mode that it becomes harder to close the knife, as compared to the unassisted mode, which is just okay.
Do I need to make certain adjustments to the fittings or does it need more break-in time?
I've been carrying this for almost a month now.

With the speed safe ON it is normal to feel more resistance. As you close it in the ON mode the torsion bar is being engaged, where as in the OFF mode it is not. Rest assured all is well.

Thanks for the info spiral, that was relieving to know how this works. This is actually my first Kershaw, and i'm pretty impressed by the finish and quality of it's construction.

Nice pick up for your first and you are quite welcome. Any time you have a question about your Kershaws drop in and someone around here will have the answer for you.
