Just one more collaboration idea but I think Mr. Rogers razor would be an awesome Spyderco collab and lends itself very well to clad zdp189, considering how often the Calypso Jr. is reffered to as a pocket razor.

lots of ways to go with it too...

I would guess that sandwiched between ats34 the zdp would give this design an edge in keeping with its name. Give this collab a ball lock or compression lock or a Spyderco designed frame style lock and it could be a scary strong scary sharp knife with a lot of style. He does a few fixed variants of the razor as well which also might lend themselves to zdp189.

I have one of Ray's Mk-II Rayzors, and boy are they BIG.

Ray uses BG-42 for a lot of his knives (including the Rayzors), and whilst it may not be technically as hard as ZDP-189, in practice you would be hard pushed to tell the difference.
Ray's prices are also pretty competitive, so if you are interested, don't hesitate to contact the man himself knives@rayrogers.com

I put a deposit down on one in Dec. He said that it may be done in March, butit will definetly be done in Dec of 07! I'm really looking forward to getting this Mk. II. I'm glad to hear that it's "BIG." I have always been a fan of big folders. Especially ones with a 5" double linered, Mirarta handle!:D
Every time I have been in contact with him, he has been a gentalman! Extreemly down to Earth guy who even sent me an E-mail on Christmas!:) I have nothing but good things to say about this man! Not to mention, placing the order was simple, and communication was constant! Sorry for going on that tangent, didn't mean to hijack the thread!:o
I would love a collaboration between these two!!!

I had the same experience in my brief conversation with Mr. Rogers, nice guy, cool knives. Hmmm, kind of like the Spydy folks.
