Not much so far, but I will add more later.

As soon as I got it I started hacking up a newspaper (not huge, maybe 1/4" thick when flattened). It cut through like you wouldn't believe, and until the last few bad cuts I was amazed how well it sliced through. I managed to get a burr on the edge after only a few minutes, making it beg for sharpening, but in that time I chopped a whole newspaper in half maybe 7-10 times. I wasn't counting carefully because I was so eager to see how well it cut. Next up will be a more careful test vs. a VG10 Calypso and Delica.

I sharpened it on a regular old Sharpmaker using the same method I use on other knives (I do about 5 more strokes on the flat sides than recommended, and skip the corners) for sharpening, not being extra careful or anything. I got it CLOSE to original sharpness, much sharper than I usually get other blades during the same casual sharpening, but not quite like it was out of the box. I might need those super fine stones they sell to get it all the way, but so far I find it EASIER to sharpen this blade than others. It does have a thinner edge than many knives, but the results are still very good.

20 more strokes on the sharpmaker at extra light pressure paid off. At this point I would need a second new knife to compare and tell for sure. The edge is probably a tad rougher now, especially since I didn't clean my stones before sharpening. But catching free-standing hair seems to be working at about the same level as it was yesterday.

Beauty eh? Thanks for the update, this knife, very quickly, became my edc, I do miss not being able to have it tip up, with a lock back that shouldn't be
a concern for the knife opening in the pocket like a liner lock possibly could
On the larger older Micarta Calypso, that carry was ok because you could
easily Spydy drop the blade into action, this is a bit too light do make it
an easy operation, so you have to move it about to bring it into play,
at least I do, but in time I'll work out a smoother way of getting the knife
out of the pocket, may have to go as far as taking the clip off and making
a sheath so I can have it lanyard end up!
