Ok.

Does ZELLE BANKING have buyer protection?

From their website.

This is way outside our turf.

The OP really wants to know. GBU is for talking about buying and selling knives. Gadgets and Gear is the best I could come up with. I dunno. Banking is kind of a gizmo isn't it? At least it has never made any kind of sense to me.

I dunno much about it. I used it once and it's similar to say cash app or PayPal.

Not sure if it would be a good alternate in purchasing. I would also like more info.

It's popular among the younger smartphone crowd as a quick way to pay people. I fronted a non-refundable purchase to somebody, they paid me through zelle, then at the last minute they flaked on me; they wanted a refund, I declined, and they left it alone. Presumably they couldn't do much about it, so I'd think that makes it like F&F.

I got a notice from Wells Fargo today that they would no longer accept cash deposits into another person's account. I buy and sell mammoth ivory and fossils. In the past
my customers would deposit cash and funds.would be available immediately. They reccommend Zelle. I am wondering what the fees are?

I've used Zelle to transfer money to and fro with my girlfriend a few times, quick easy, and as far as I can tell safe. I have lifelock so any activities from bank accounts or credit cards im directly notified via text and e mail.

BofA uses Zelle. Ive probably used it without knowing it as its built into the phone app.

Zelle is for direct bank transfers. There is no protection. It's up to you personally to not get scammed.
