What are the advantages and disadvanages of the zero edge? How is it different to sharpen? How is the durability affected? How does it improve performance? What is your personal preference in a user blade? Any help appreciated.

The disadvantage to the zero edge is, when you cut something, it cuts fast and deep . Thus Eliminating the exercise element to long hours of heavy chopping. :D The advantage is that time saved is better spent drinking

ditto what he said

Scott, I am thinking of buying a terror monkey battle mistress, would this one have the zero edge as well?

no, the zero edges are put on the satin and dc finished knives, the monkey's will have a symmetrical edge but not zero (convex) edge.
i have not seen a "zero edge" on one of jerry's blades that have a coated finish on them.
i could be wrong but i'm fairly sober 2night :footinmou

Any idea how the Terror Monkey Battle Mistress w/ serrations would perform as a feild knife given its 3/16 thickness? how would it compare to a normal BM? thanks for the info.

My guess is that it would be even faster in hand than the Magnum EU-17, but wouldn't have as much mass for heavy chopping. The thin profile will penetrate well, but it will take more chops to get the lesser mass through hard material.
