Anyone have any experience with this blade?.
Im looking for a survival type blade and this looks like it fit the bill and i like what i hear about cpm3v.
How tough is it though does it hold up to say a similar size Busse or Fehrman etc for toughness?.
Does the coating scratch easy and have you had any problems with the uncoated edge rusting etc?.
And how would you rate it as a survival knife?.
 
I don't have any experience with the 100, but I own several other ZT's. All are great knives. I imagine the 100 will perform very well. The cpm3V is supposed to be a very good big knife steel. Good Luck with your decision.
 
it is a wonderful knife, but I do not think it will batch a busse. ZT did a test on this knife and it took about 5 tons to break it I think. I do not think it would not really make a good survival style knife. A recurve I can see as not being the best for this. all of this is just my opinion.

It is a great knife, being made by ZT;)
