With Fall in full swing not to mention Oktoberfest just around the corner it is time to pop some caps and reflect on a recent carry change-up.

First of all I want to say that ever since I obtained this ZT 0200ST about a month ago and began to carry it daily, I now know that sensation of terrible regret :disturbed: that it took me so long to get around to this particular folder.

Now that it has occupied my pocket on a near daily basis and been at hand, I must commend Ken Onion with many LARGE KUDOS for this exceptional design. Ken, :cool: you really hit this out of the park but I am sure that you already know that...

This knife is somewhat heavier and bulkier than what I am accustomed to carry in the pocket. However, I have adjusted to it faster than I thought I would.

The balance point of this knife is right at the index finger groove and it would appear that the overall weight and bulk (in part due to the thick G-10 scales) are necessary to balance out the heavy duty blade. This fills that hand quite well. The aggressive texture of the scales feels very comfortable but will stay put in hand.

Everything on this knife from the heavy duty support pins, the large pivot, to the blade itself are stoically robust. I truly love the recurve blade and cannot think of anything much more field worthy or frankly just dead sexy.

This is non-assist liner-lock folder is destined to have several brothers in the event it becomes lost or more unlikely experiences severe damage in the future. Yeah, like that is going to happen...

I love this knife and wondered the same thing as you- what took me so long?

I have one just like it; it was my first ZT and the first of a few more after that.

One thing is a definite fact... it is a BEAST of a knife. You're definitely not under-knifed with a 0200 in your pocket. That's for sure!

The ZT0200, in whatever form, is one helluva' knife. I put mine in my pocket this morning for a little weekend carry time. I remember when they first came out and there had not yet been a lot of reviews, but the one's I did find and read, said the very same things we are saying today. At the time I was worried about it being a real heavy-duty knife, and living up to the few reviews I had read, due to the "low" price! I know, stupid. When I got the first one I was simply BLOWN away by the quality, fit/finish, just everything we look for in the knife to know that we have a good one, was there.

From that point forward, when people asked about a value knife, I recommended the ZT0200, because you get a LOT more that you pay for!!

BTW Stu, great pics!:thumbup::)

Congrats on the new 0200. I'm seeing a lot of recent posts where people are seeing the ZT light! :D

how heavy/ bulky is it? from the looks, it seems pretty damn solid and i like a heavy knife.

I have not had an opportunity to weigh this knife but it is heavier than the typical "slacks comfortable" knife. The textured scales make it appear bulkier than it is but it "grows on you. I''l try to get some better weight specs, etc later.

I still haven't picked one of those up yet. :(
They are always out of stock just about everywhere.

It is a little pocket heavy but it is SOLID. I have a bigger hand and it has great ergonomics. I also really like the wide blade as well and great flipper.

The 0400 sure isn't a bad thing. I just picked up a S30V Blur.
