Well I just got a Zero Tolerance 0205 in and I have to agree with everyone, it is an amazing knife. The grip and egronomics of the knife are amazing and just another time I have to admire Ken Onion. I really have become a big fan of many of his designs and think for me his ergonomics can't be beat.
Of course a lot of this respect is also going to Kershaw for making such great production verisons of his designs; the quality for the price is staggering. The knife is so solid and has a nice reassuring kind of heft to it. The machined G10 handles are also amazing with the texture and detail in them.

I love the bead blase finish on the blade and I am glad that I decided on it instead of the DLC coating.

I am not a fan of liner locks, but maybe that is because I have never had a liner lock like this! Beefy and looks more like a frame lock with g10 on top since the liner lock is part of the thick full steel liners. It is nice because liner locks appeal to me because I can get a better grip on them since both sides of the handles are the same, but I never felt confident in the thin liner locks, but not a problem anymore!

I love this knife, however this knife is a little of a mystery to me because I do not know why I like it so much since it goes against my normal preferences. I usually prefer framelocks, metal handles, no recurves, and shorter blade lengths but forget all that. I love this thing with its liner lock, g10 handles, and recurved ~4" blade! Part of it probably has to do with that it just melts into my hand . Another nice touch is that the pocket clip is mounted as far to the end of handle as possible, so it rides nice and low in the pocket. The small clip along with the low ride makes it not seem like you are carrying a large folder.

nice review and pic's. I'm having a hard time deciding between this and the ZT300.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you don't really have a choice in the matter - you really need both!

In all seriousness, I have been putting off buying a ZT0200 for a long time, but I have been finally forced to buy one since the ZT0205 is now available with a bead blast blade. And FYI, if you want one of these, there were only 30 made in this configuration..... so you'd better get one fast.

I also have two ZT0300's and I love them both.

Here are a few pictures that jimmer requested:

With these pictures you can also see how the G10 is slightly contoured, just like a nice palm swell almost.

I also was debating on the 0300 or this one but figured this was a limited run so I better get this why they were available. That along with the news of a possibility of a smaller 0300 in 2009, made me go with this. I am really happy I got the 0205, but definately see a 0300 in my future sometime soon.

If the rest of the Zero Tolerance line is like this, I will develop a ZT collection over time.

Very good point. It is hard to see in the pictures of my blade since I took the pictures real quick and in poor lighting; but my blade is marked "002-030" right above the 154CM marking on the right side of the blade (tip to the right).

I have 030/030 and just ordered another one. It is a nice knife for the price.

Thank you so much for posting these pictures!! I have been looking for photos like this for a long time now. It looks like this one will definitely be about as thick as I can stand, but I think it will work.

I have always preferred slimmer knives for pocket carry, but I am totally stoked toget this one!! Now I've gotta go sell something to pay for it!!

I have 024-030 and agree, it is a beauty and an awesome knife. I already had a black blade partially serrated 200 and just had to have the bead blasted one when I saw it was available for pre order. I agree with Jimmer, get the 300 too. I have four 300's: green bead blasted, digital camo bead blasted, tan striped blade and the carbon fiber black blade, Oh, and a 121. I think I like ZT's

I see that you have the 0300 that I have been wanting, the green g10 and bead blasted blade with the Tim Galyean "Battle Swedge" grind from TAD Gear, not that I have been drooling over the website and memorized the information. :o

Time to sell off some other knives I guess. Just realized that my collection is begining to be dominated by Kershaw products!

I just pulled the trigger on one of these. That seems like a sure way to make sure it won't be limited to 30...LOL. Every time I buy something (read: Damascus Leek) they do another run.

Where can this knife be had? I love the look without the Tiger-Striping on the blade!

The bead-blasted ZT0205 is a Knifeworks special edition, while the ZT0300 in green or digi-camo G10 and bead-blasted blade is a T.A.D. Gear special edition.

I just got my ZT0205 today and it is fantastic!! I can't believe it took me this long to get into an 0200!!

I am considering sanding the and polishing the handles smooth to thin it out a little bit, but I haven't made up my mind yet. I think it would look pretty sweet, but I'll have to think it through....

In any case, this knife feels like quite the bargain!!

Jimmer, remember there was only 30 of these made. Why not get a regular 0200 to cut polish the handles down on? While you have it apart you can send the blade off for a sandblast and have the same critter without changing one of the original 30.
