When I pre-ordered this knife I was pretty sure I wasn't going to keep it, but I wanted some time with one to check it out. It is a very nice knife, but it's far too overbuilt for my use, I'd never carry it.
This is the new Strider/Onion collaboration, manufactured by KAI (Kershaw). Titanium framelock with Hinderer lockbar stabilizer, and Speedsafe AO.
Handle is 5", blade is about 3.75". One scale is textured Ti, the other is coyote brown, textured G10. No doubt that Mr. Onion designed this big honkin' chunk of S30V into a blade, and that the Strider guys tiger-striped it and had a strong influence on the handle. This is a big, heavy folder. I've only cut air with it, but it feels great in hand, like you could cut the fender off a dump-truck with it.
Speed-safe brings the blade around quite nicely with the flipper.
Lock-up is excellent, they really got it right with this one. Looks like the back of the blade tang (where the lock bar engages) is very slightly radiused.
I'm asking SOLD, and that covers shipping, insurance, and Paypal fees.
