I have a kershaw clash, and i love it. The spring assisted mechanism on it is stronger than any switchblade, or assisted mechanism ive ever used. Im curious how the ZT 0350 compares to the clash in regards to the power of the assisted mechanism, overall quality of build, and longevity of the knives themselves.

I really want the ZT0350, but only if its worth it

I don't know about the Clash, but I can tell you the spring assist on the ZT is plenty strong,(mine has a "kick") build quality is excellent and should last you a lifetime.

the spring on the 350 is very strong. The wide blade whips out with great authority. The quality and materials upgrade is well worth it. You shouldn't hesitate in getting the 350 if your on the fence about it.

My ZT0350TS has been an excellent knife so far. Highly recommend it.

I do not have the Clash but I do have a 350.
The 350 is a brute of a knife...it is not a light weight and while it snaps out quickly and locks with a distinct sound...I suspect it would fly out if the blade was not as big as it is.
The 350 is a folder with some brute authority. The steel is very high quality as is the build and will/should last a lifetime with normal care. It holds an edge very well and sharpens fairly easily using a Lansky system with diamond stones and ceramics.
I don't carry this every day as it is heavier than my normal EDC...BM 585...and it attracts attention at work that I'd rather stay away from.

I have both and they are probably my two favorite knives ever. Check out kershawguy.com for a ZT0350 blem for $95 shipped.

The ZT0350's blade is heavier so it's just the slightest bit slower but still very quick and positive. I got a blem for $85 and I'm very happy with the knife, no complaints. I'm not sure if I'd want to spend full price on one.

I'd love to see a clash with G10 and maybe an s30v or similar blade.

Well, I consider any ZT to be a fancied-up Kershaw, so I'd pick the ZT every time. I've had three or four 0350's, and bought two 0360's over the weekend. That's a lighter, "more" tactical version of the 0350, but yes, it does cost more. My son loved the 350 I gave him, and the springs are great. As you know, you can also find the 0350 in M390 steel, which is wonderful.

The 350 is a tank. I have one and love it. There will be an M390 350 in my "collection" sooner rather than later.

Buy one, you will not regret it.

My 350 is one of the most solid knives I have and the assist was strong. It works well as a de assisted flipper also.

I have a ZT0350 and it is my favorite outdoor knife.
It's a tank!
The spring assist is fast and strong. The blade is heavy and can take a lot!
IMHO it has a better ergonomy than my spyderco PM2 and BM 943 when it comes to hard works.

I'll echo what sonnydaze said about the 0360. It's the same knife except the spine is lowered giving it a much better piercing tip. I have owned all 3 and the 0360 once broken in deploys much faster and harder than the 0350 with the lighter weight blade. You also get a carbide tip glass breaker on the butt end which works awesomely. The upgrade in steel and scales and the number of options like steels and colors you can choose from make the 0350/ 0360 platform more than worth it in my book.

The Clash is an awesome knife, but I don't really think you can compare it to the 0350. The materials and quality of the ZT are just superior. Like juju said, you get better steel, scales and it's made right here in the USA.
