Alright, since these are fairly limited I know not many people carry them let alone use them much, I thought I would give my full review of my 0392BWBZ.

For starters, I have carried it almost every day since I bought it back in April when they were first released. I have not hesitated to use it because I have two of them, one I kept nib and the other is my daily user that I will never sell. Anyway, on to the review, I'm basically just going to list pros/cons of the knife:

PROS:

-The knife fits my hand like a glove, some of the best ergos I have experienced
-Blade steel is top of the line, cuts very aggressively and holds an edge better than anything else in my collection.
-Flipping action is the one of the best I have experienced and I got to handle many many many custom knives at blade 2015. RJ Martins were the only thing comparable to this thing's action!
-The smoothness is amazing. They say it's KVT, but it's not like the regular production ZTs. It uses differently designed metal washers that hold the bearings instead of those blue plastic ones you are used to. It's so smooth that it easily closes on itself when disengaged.
-The jimping is in all the right places, unlike my 0560 there isn't jimping that kills your finger when you flip it but when the knife is open there is very aggressive jimping on the spine of the blade
-The Hinderer hardware is all amazing, pocket clip works great, love the flat head pivot, etc.
-Lockup is bank vault solid no blade in any direction no matter how hard you try to wiggle the blade.
-Even though I have flipped it >100,000 times the lockup has not moved a bit.
-Lockup geometry IMO is perfect, the steel insert makes full contact with the tang but is also as early as possible. (will show pictures of lockup at end of post)
-No sticky lock problems at all!
-Can't push the lock bar in any further so it has pretty much seated itself in nicely.
-Came perfectly centered and has stayed that way
-Pivot hasn't loosened a bit. I don't even think there's locktite on it and again, I've flipped this knife like a million times :D

CONS:

-Limited edition so you have to pay secondary market price if you want one!
-Again, because of the limited nature it may be difficult to have any kind of warranty work done to the knife. Examples would be stripped screws or a broken blade. You can get screws from Rick but they are always sold out and cost a lot of money.

CONCLUSION:

Overall I think the knife is more than worth the original $400. You can tell ZT spends extra amounts of time making sure the limited production pieces are finely tuned and top notch quality. As stated previously I own two of these and they both function exactly the same (detent, centering, lockup, etc). It does compare and in some ways exceed a real Hinderer Eklipse which costs about the same as the secondary market prices of these.

Here are some pictures of my knife and how it has held up:

Thanks for the review... I've been thinking of getting one you may have just pushed me over the edge

Nice review and I agree with pretty much everything. I have one of the original stonewash with blue hardware and it is a user as well. Unfortunately I don't have a backup but pretty sure it will last me forever anyway. I started out not carrying it much at first, but the more I carry and use it the more I love it and now just can't get it out of my pocket.

Good review, I agree with you about the incredible quality of all the ZT LEs I have handled.

Nice review and pics, thx for taking the time. This thread is a little old but I was wondering if there was a break in period for the detent? I just got my hands on one today and the detent is STRONG haha I'm used to hinderer's! I'm hoping the detent weakens a bit with use.

Ok here's a bit of an update. I've had this bad boy in my pocket every day since I got it, and my finger has toughened up and flipping is no longer painful. Haha, I was kinda cheezed at how they did the flipper on this one but I'm used to it and it works pretty darn good.

Next issue.. I wish the blade stops could be used as thumbstuds. Oh well, very happy with the knife as it is. It's a better cutter than what I was expecting. The grind came a bit wonky on mine and you can only tell upon close inspection, but I will be sorting that out down the line. I thought about sending it out to get professionaly sharpened, but I think I will do it myself. I think it will be more special if I put my own edge on it.

The knife is doing pretty good at not showing wear but the anodizing seems to be fading pretty quickly. I don't really mind, it adds to worn in look that it already has going for it.

I'm still loving mine. The anodizing on the pivot did wear off pretty good so I put a new one on. Also added some bling to it. This is a knife that will never leave my collection.

Nice! ^^ Ya, definitely a keeper of a knife. Very solid and smooth, great flipper and most importantly a great cutter. I'm really happy with mine.
