Zero Tolerance 0452 CF question

I recently bought a used ZT 0452 CF (not here). The knife was in excellent like new condition. The tip was not very pointy and sharp and I'm wondering if this is normal for these knives. I contacted the seller and I am in the process of returning the knife. I am very particular about the blade tips of my knives. I have several Benchmades, Kershaws, Daggerrs, and QSP's, etc etc. They all have perfect very sharp and pointy blade tips. My question is: are the tips of the ZT 0452 blades normally very pointy and sharp? I'd like to buy another ZT0452 (probably new this time) but a not so sharp tip is a deal breaker for me. Thanks in advance for any and all replies.

I have had maybe 5 or 6 in various forms, ti, cf, etc They were pretty pointy but not needle points like some spydies, which I prefer (the thicker tip) because I don't like dainty tips. Did you take any pics before packaging it back up?

many brands dont always have super sharp and super pointy tips. without pics of it......I'd say its good chance it came from factory like this.

a particular want like this is gonna need in person purchases from ya or close up pics from seller for you....or learn how to sharpen and you can put the sharpest point and tip ya want on it.

I own 7 variations of the ZT 0452. This is a photo the tip of the 0452CF from that collection:

All of the tips of the other variations look like this & IMO they are all sharp/pointy enough to penetrate pretty much anything that I'd want to stick it in. 🤷‍♂️

I read this different than most of y'all taking pictures of the points far away.

itd be obvious and logical to assume that the op saw picture of the knife, he bought, like y'all are posting. yep has a point.....

assuming thats true...I believe hes talking on close up inspection he noticed it doesnt have, as my pal Shiny said,...."needle points like some spydies"....and many knives on close up examination arent needle points. maybe tad rounded or just not needle pointed. still stabby and pointy...as that is the blade design.

op can you clarify whether you were talking about on close examination not a needle point or an obvious rounded tip that would show up in pictures at distances like these fellas are posting......thanks.

I believe the non pointy tip of the knife would have shown up with a clear quality close up picture. It wasn't obvious at all from the pictures that I saw before purchase. I believe the tip was damaged because it had a very small burr on the tip itself. Very small. This was by far the least sharp - pointy knife I've ever had and I have many many knives and have been knife collecting for over 50 years. I'm leaning towards just buying a new one and bypassing any used ones just to be on the safe side. The last thing I need is another knife but I really do like the 0452 design. If it was a clip point I'd probably buy two of them ;).

My 0452 came very sharp and pointy, and remained so throughout the time I had it. Most likely you have one that someone dulled through use, or, on an off chance, you got a factory lemon.

I had a lot of ZT’s , the only two I still have is 0452CF and 0562CF . Mine 0452CF is pretty pointy , sharp this one is my favorite ZT. That’s why I still have it 👍

Facts. I've been using a microscope for sharpening and rehabbing. Had several that the tip looked fine on in hand that are actually broken/chipped off completely once you get a real good look at it.
