I work at a job where a lot of dust and dirt is floating around. Quite often, it will get into my 0560. While i can get alot of it by just running a rag in between the frame, i would really like to give it a good cleaning. I have no problem taking it apart. I am just worried about putting it back together. Is there any tips I need to know before i take it apart, such as how to make sure it is centered while I am putting it back together or anything specific to the 0560 itself? I would like to hear everything, no matter how small, because I REAALLLLYYY do not want to take this apart and not be able to get it back the way it was intended. Any tips at all are appreciated.

I've done mine several times. It's very easy. Just tighten each side evenly. Snug them up in opposition, and if it started of centered, it should stay centered.

That particular knife is very simple to disassemble and clean, you shouldn't have any issues at all.

One thing I like to do is make sure you put the washers back exactly how they came out.... except I'm pretty sure the 0560 has bearings... So that doesn't even apply. Piece of cake.

The cleaning was successful. I still had a little trouble with getting it centered, but after I messed with the pivot a little bit, it went back to the way it was. Thanks for the help guys!

One thing I learned is NOT to take apart folders unless it is absolutely necessary. Most often flushing the knife with warm water (can add some soap if you want) and then bloqing dry with a hair dryer shall take care of the business. You can use wd40 or tuf-glide as well.

Most of the time I do that, but it had got to the point where I had like flour and stuff in the screws and the pivot. I don't plan on doing it very often, but in needed a deep cleaning. Plus, I needed to know anyway in case I needed to do maintenance or whatnot. I plan on getting a custom scale for it, but I think the screws on the scale side have been treated with loctite, because when I went to unscrew the screws holding the standoffs, it would just not come undone. I do t have access to a health in at the moment, so I might have to wait a while on the scale.
