Got this yesterday, same high quality I've come to expect from ZT, just as smooth opening and the same solid lock up as my 0561, but the "black wash" finish looks really cool.

Just picked up a 0560BW too. Thank Dave aka "Kershawguy"! I like that the lock side is not milled out for weight reduction. It makes the knife seem more substantial but not to much. I thought it felt different but didn't notice it until comparing it to my 0560 and 0560CBCF.

Great pics. I cant afford anything but my 0561 for a few more years. That is a very nice model. Id get that If I could afford two. Im surprised they did not mill out the interior. I though the weight is perfect on the 0561. Does it feel off balance at all?

OK, until you guys mentioned it, I had not noticed. But sitting here right now with my 561 and 560BW together, I see what you mean. The 561 has a milled out spot on the inside of the frame lock, while the 560BW does not, so there is a slightly more titanium in the 560BW. (The milling on the other side, is identical for both knives)

Sitting here handling both knives, I really can't feal any difference as far as balance or weight.

I would prefer they not mill it out at all. But that's just me

As far as where they did mill it out it certainly wont weaken the knife at all.
I could care less.
If any one has a scale Id like to see the weight difference. I doubt it makes that much of a difference.

Its not the strength that I care about, its the balance. I prefer the balance point to be towards the handle when I can have it that way

Ahha. The 561 is balanced just handle side in the forefinger cut out. Feels like sex in the hand to me!
Anyone have photos of a well used model? Mine still looks new even after lots of use.

The BW is about 1oz heavier, my scale is not that precise. The balance point seems about 1/4" further from the pivot compared to a standard 0560. I think I can feel the weight difference when handling them back to back.

I remember when I first got the 0560 thinking it felt too light for its size and being somewhat put off by this until I got some time with it. Now the BW just feels better in hand due to the slight weight increase.

Thanks for the info! Wish I could handle one. Did not expect a whole 1 oz myself.
Take Care

Me either, I'd like to see them weighed on a very precise scale. The milled out spot on the 561, just doesn't seem like it would account for a whole ounce of titanium???

Hopefully someone with a digital scale can weigh up. My little analog job is more of a guesstamit eyeballing the needle.

I have the 0560 blackwash and it's a gorgeous blade. It's definitely a large folder though, so it's kind of hard to carry it all the time. Also, I dunno about you guys but mine is really light... Especially considering the size.

My only complaint is that some of the edges on the G10 side are sharp. The gimping is fairly sharp on the handle as well. This is especially noticeable if you're not wearing gloves.

Those of you with soft hands can use some 800 grit wet and dry sand paper. It will make you and your hands happy.
