I promised a lot of photo's of my 0561 when I got it.
I was carrying it today in some jeans, and at the end of the day my dark earth g10 scales have some blue spots on them:(
Does anybody have a solution for this?
(btw, the 0561 is really awesome, the KVT is solo smooth:roll eyes:
These are the pic's with the blue spots

You know, I know I have absolutely no need for a folder that big, but damn that looks good and makes me want one. 👍

This is exactly where I'm at with it. I set money aside for one and went to the shop this past week, but came home with the 0566 since it's a better size envelope for my work.

I have been considering grabbing the 0561 today, anyway. I know I will sooner or later, and it will be relegated to day off carry-- I'll keep using the 0566 for work.

Soap and water might work. Or, you could try those magic eraser sponges. It just looks like some stuff rubbed off onto the G10 handles. Should be simple enough to clean off.

Oh, and congrats on getting the 0561. The 0560 series is awesome.

It's just lint, I wouldn't worry about it until you do a full disassemble/cleaning. If you can hit it with compressed air, do that.

Why is the jimping on that side of the flipper?

Well, that's the side of the flipper that you touch if you are using a flipper correctly.

Something about potential/kinetic energy and being able to "flip" open any folder, regardless of detent, but most people just don't get it.

Congrats on the 561, it is my favorite EDC folder. I have since bought a 560 and 560BW, but the 561 gets way more carry time.

Yeah that's how I felt too. But I saw a good deal so I got it. Yep, bigger and tougher than I need for sure, but I'm pleased to have it in my rotation.
When I whip it out to open a coffee sachet or make a chicken sandwich at work and get asked "what the hell is that?" I reply, "that's a mans pocket knife".

Don't pay any attention to the lint/blue spots on the handle. It's a big, tough American beast and a few smudges here or there don't make much of a difference. If you carry it often, it's going to get a lot of marks and scuffs. Don't sweat it, just use it!

ETA: Great pics, by the way!

Thanks for the education. I simply never knew...
