I was able to get a preorder in for one, and GPKnives says specifically "limited run". However, BladeHQ makes no mention of it being a limited run. Does anyone know how many of these are going to be produced?
 
I think I read run of 300, I think thats what Dave/KershawGuy was saying.
 
On the two sites that had them for sale with photos of the blade, I saw the serial number 0200 on one and 0123 on the other. Knife Center has a photo of serial number 0288.

300 is the only number that's been mentioned but KAI does not announce production totals. We also don't know how many went overseas either. Per the other thread, this is a limited run for some top dealers. Considering each one got about 30ish in, I think the 300 number is going to be fairly accurate.
 
They won't release the actual number made, one dealer said 300.

- Just a FYI. The serial number on the blade isn't necessarily an indicator of how many knives were made. Issues come up with blades, materials, etc.
