Greetings All,
As this is my first post [ having already spent several hours/ days making the 'search' feature my friend] I wanted to both make an introduction and to pose a question or two. I'm a resident of the San Fernando Hills/ High Desert regioin of California, a Winchester rifle fanatic, volunteer fireman and shooting range line officer. I am also currently in the market for a new heavy duty folder to replace my Benchmade 710 Axis Lock. I've all but settled on the Zero Tolerance 301 or 302, and I made a trip to my local blade retailer and was lucky enough to handle one prior to purchasing, which is always a plus.
My impressions of the ZT 301 is that it seems to be built like a tank, very rugged and well suited for the duties to which I would put it. The primary drawback for me is it's considerable size and heft , stretching the boundries of 'pocket knife'.
I was wondering however about it's edge retention- to any of you who have been using this knife for a while, how does this steel hold an edge ? Also, how is your ZT301/ 302 holding up ? Still tight as new ? If you had it to do all over again, would you choose the Zero Tolerance folder ? Finally, does anyone know of retailers selling this knife below 200.00 ?
Thanks in advance to all responders, I enjoy this sight for the information it provides very much.
