Zero Tolerance--are they being counterfeited?

I saw a ZT 0300 on the auction site for quite a bit less that I've seen them from my normal online retail sources. The seller seems reputable, but most good crooks do.

Has anyone heard of ZT knives being copied? I know there have been some problems with Benchmade and Spyderco ripoffs, but ZT really isn't a widely known brand.

Any info would be appreciated.

Would you mind posting a link to the auction so we could look?

My guess is that the auction is low because there is still plenty of time left so people haven't bid on it much yet.

It wouldn't surprise me if there are knockoffs of the ZT line because pretty much any respectable and quality company will have have people ripping them off, but if you show the link then somebody will be able to tell if its legit or not.

if it's for a 0300, I just bid on it.

You can find great deals on ZT's on ebay if your persistent. Spydieguys are a reputable dealer. Ive seen 0400's go for $80 shipped and mudds for $100.

$80 bucks for a bulletproof, large bladed S30V by one the top companys out there is a steal in my book.

The one I was referring to actually isn't an auction format-- it's a Buy it Now.

Yeah there is there was a thread on this in the Kershaw forum but i cant search for a link it was to a chinese company and they had ZT the 0300 was one of them also lots of united cutlery benchmade sog etc.
They had things that could tell them apart from the real thing looking carefully.
Do you have a link to the auction?.Doesnt matter if its buy it now.
It could be a case of someone buying it and selling it on not even knowing its a fake but if there a knife seller then im sure they would no the situation.
Seen as the knife companys cant sue people in China or the like they could be able to sue sellers that are buying these knives in the knowledge that they are fake and selling them on through ebay etc.

I remember seeing that thread also, supposedly the knife is much smaller and missing a screw from the handle (2 instead of 3) and the pivot was way smaller than the ZT.
