Zero Tolerance: Best flipping action?

Most of them. I'd say my Top 3 would be 0920, 0804 and 0452 (None of the ZT's I have are slouches though). Essentially big blades = good flipping.

1st: 0801
2nd: 0450
3rd: 0393

Honerable mention: 0900

Sorry 0562 lovers. Great knife, but for me the CF/G-10 mutes the tactile “thwack.” Same with the 0804 and 0452CF, which are still great flippers. I’ve never had the privilege of handling an all Ti 0452

0560/561 by a mile. Probably the weight of the blade, but I've owned all of the others mentioned and all four of the 0560 variants I've had were incredible.

Most of the ZTs I've had of the same model are slightly different when it comes to dentent and action, which I think can account for some of the variables in threads like these.

All of mine are so good, it's difficult to say. Perhaps 0095, 0452, 0220, and 0392.

Zt doesn't have the best but they do have one of the best flipping for the price and quality. They have a way to go with lock geometry and designs (ie gun market designs, overly tactical and too thick behind the edge). But yea. They have a good action. I've got a fair amount of brands that have better action but they are nothing to sneeze at. If your looking to get one, don't hesitate.

My 801 isn't the idea flipper everyone says they are. But it's not bad. My 0562cf is better. Though it needs a detent track imho. The 0452 has a stiff detent and flips out with force its nice. I don't prefer it's closing action though. 804cf is a nice drop shutter but slow flipping out.

I do like reate better but they do cost a fair bit more.

0600 for me. Such a fun knife. I wish I had never sold it, since I only sold it because the local knife laws limited blades to 3.5" and I moved only a few months later.

The best action I've had on a regular production ZT was the 0452CF, or, arguably, the 0808.

last count, i have 24 ZTs (all different models). My top five:
392 BRZ( not my 392GRN, for some reason the two actions are night and day. one is smooth like glass, another tied and gritty)
456
920
220
452CF

my 801Ti and 450 also flip beautifully, but it lacks the sound and the Horse power ( as describe by ZT:) of the top 5.
804CF almost made it, but i can't forgive that late detent. which make it slow to close.
562CF just miss the cut ( nothing wrong with it, just feel a little less special for me)

So many to choose from idk I think I’m gonna go with the 0452, it feels the smoothest and drops shut like it’s on glass. My 0220 is probly the hardest to open but when it does everybody in the house can hear it lol my top 5....
0452
0393
0220
0909
0804

Good idea, in case you ever need to use your knife as a hammer, that wouldn’t work.
Yes, exactly. But if i'm into a cutting action where I have to pick up the angle of the knife and I lose fingers..... sorry, I'll stick with my Benchmades thank you.
