any one knows any thing aboute the zero tolerance 0300 ken onion and Emerson CQC14 Snubby knives?
are they bad, ok or great quality knives? are they usa meade?

I have the ZT0300. It is a superb tank/beast of a knife that will handle anything you trow at it short of extreme abuse. But both are rugged, very high quality USA made knives.

Why do you ask?

I have a CQC14. I would not buy another Emerson. There's plenty of knives that are just as good for less $. I'd go with the ZT.

I own 3 emersons and a ZT 301. IMO, the zt is a much better knife, and one of the best bang for you buck blades you can buy, considering the materials used. Nothing against emerson, but two of the three that I own, have linerlocks that move back and forth when light pressure is put on the spine. I know I could send them back to be fixed but I really dont feel like it. In my experience, there are much better quality knives out there for lower prices, than what you get with emersons. Just my experiences. I would be interested in buying one of their framelock models, but they are pretty hard to find, and still more expensive than the ZT.

Had the 300 and liked it alot, however too big for EDC and freaked out everyone who saw it. Got rid of it. That being said, it is a heck of a knife, and if you are comfortable with the size, go for it.

Couldn't agree more. ZT makes some excellent knives and at a steal of a price. To this day my ZT302 is the only knife I regret selling. I'll be getting another one eventually.

I have a Emerson as well as a Zero Tolerance and they are on equal terms when it comes to quality and strength IMHO. I appreciate and use them both. ;)
