Hi,I am interested in the zero tolerance knives.Does Kershaw do all heat treat in house?.Also do they do the cryogenic treatment on these knives.Appreciate any info on this, thank you.

If I'm not mistaken, all USA made Kershaws are heat treated in house.
Also, I think the ZT line is a sub of Kershaw but still come out of the
same factory.(Don't quote me on this.)
With that said, I'm not sure.

Anybody from Kershaw ever post here.Am interested to learn about heat treat/cryogenic treatment for the zero tolerance knives.Thank you.

Yes they do. That said, we should remember it's possible they may not want to release all manner of blade treatment details publicly.

I don't think that is the issue, IIRC Thomas has said that they heat treat to CPM's specs and all the ZTs are CPM steels. At least I think that is right:eek: Feel free to correct me:thumbup:

Wherever they heat treat they are doing an excellent job. It's especially evident on the more difficult to heat treat steels like the CPM's, SG, etc. Quality control at kershaw sometimes astounds me. These guys have pride in what they do. Joe
