These are some pictures of a Zero Tolerance ZT 301 I modified to be lighter and I also added a Strider hole to the blade. As you can see in the photos, I added a piece of G-10 were the metal liner use to be for the handle. I like the orginal design a lot but it was too heavy for me. I also made a carbon fiber liner but I cant find the pictures of it on my PC. I sold the knife to a buddy of mine since he has bigger hands and it fits him perfect.

There are a couple other mods i did to the knife which you can see in the photos.

I recommend this knife to anyone who needs a heavy duty folder or is a big guy unlike myself.

This knife is maybe about 3 years old now and the assisted opening mechanism is still opening strong and works perfect. Knife has taken much abuse and has no problems at all. The tiger stripe finish holds up pretty well.

The only problem I have with this knife is the weight, it's that when i have this blade clipped to my pocket it causes the pocket to sag down a lot, I usually wear khakis of different colors and this blade just doesn't work for me in those style of pockets, It's a shame for me because i rarely wear jeans but when i do I make sure I'm carrying my zt 301, I love everything else about the blade

Also great modding, I love what you did to the flipper

I was originally thinking about selling them years back and starting and accessories bussiness exclusively for knives but I dont have any machinery besides a dremel so it takes too long for me to make them. Also my dremel skills are not the best so i would feel bad selling a product that isnt anywhere close to perfection. I wish i knew how to make a CAD file.

I know this is a very old thread but could any one tell me what you could use to drill through the s35vn steel.. Or could I try and find someone that could laser cut it? Or is there a special drill bit I could use on a drill press? And any way other than free hand to make the hole oval? My email is mjappleton@appletoncampbell.com and info would be awesome

Thanks all!
