I have seen lots of positive reviews on YouTube and am tempted to jump on one. I know that his knives are hard to come by, limited to a small quantity. His pocket clips for the S2 and S4 are among the best that I have seen in terms of design and the tolerances, from what I heard, are quite tight. How are your experiences with Michael Zieba and his knives?

I own an S1 and an S1 mini. I really enjoy both and would buy them again.

We love his stuff, incredible build quality and some great creative touches like those pocket clips.

Thanks for the replies. I saw that s4 angry bird on your site and am tempted to snag it. From what I know, they are limited to around 12 pieces correct?

The knives look good but I think it's ok to pump the brakes. They don't seem to be flying off the shelves. There are a lot of amazing knives out there. That said, if the Zieba speaks to you snag that bish.

Waiting on a custom order, communication has been pretty good. Price was reasonable for custom requests. Seems like a solid guy. The knives I've seen in person have been damn nice.

I bought an S1-mini from Michael Zieba at a show. He's a nice guy, excellent knife.

It has Ti slabs with a copper/oxidized finish and a gold plated spacer. I'm happy :) The grind is interesting, hollow with a flat ground front end. I wasn't sure how'd it work out, but it's been very useful and very strong. The M390 has a good heat treat, per Michael at RW60. Clip is fully functional, no problems. It has only one position but I like it that way. The knife is slightly weird but in a good way. Probably not so much weird but distinctive. I like it very much and have no complaints. The knife is totally modern but hand made; with a caged ball bearing pivot, high end materials, ceramic ball detent, lock bar insert/over extension protector, flipper, custom clip and custom finish, all for <$400. Edge was sharp out of the box which is plastic filled with foam that has a cutout for the knife and is also made by Michael. Some non-knife people thought the detent is "hard" but not I; they got used to it pretty quickly.

As far as popularity, there were two of my knive at the 2-hour mark from the show's Friday afternoon opening and when I went back I was happy I had made up my mind to buy since it's twin was already gone. They were special editions.

i have an S1 mini in the mail today! i'll share pic later if anyone would like to see.

he's a local guy, so i want to support him more. next time i take the fiancee to soho, i'll definitely be dropping by the shinola to check out the titanium MS3. his front flippers the G1 and MS1, are also on my long list

Right now I'm still in the decision stage. It's just that Zieba's designs speak to me the most and is within the price range so far. I would love for any suggestions on other flippers that I should consider at the $500-$600 range.

A Shirogorov will pop up for $600 every now and then.

I'm looking for a relatively larger knife, around the 3.5-4.0 inch mark when opened so the neon lite can't do it for me.

I feel real bad. I passed on an angry bird after I saw it for sale on DLT trading. Deep regrets, sold a week later to some lucky guy.
