Zippo converted Fire start kit.

I’ve been thinking of a better way to have an emergency fire kit. This is what I came up with. Soak jute in melted wax. Then stuff it a hollowed out Zippo lighter insert. It holds about 2feet of jute. Then melt in more wax. Put it back into the lighter case. Total cost about $10.

When you need to use it, pull out some jute. Fray it up. Stuff it into the lighters firebox. Make sparks like you are lighting the lighter. And it lights the jute.

The extra wax is for the tinder pile.

when it hardened it left a void in the wax. I’m going to put some extra flints there.
