Zippo knives...

Fellow knifeknuts,

I have a question about Zippo's folding knives. If you are a user of any of Zippo's Cut-About lite plastic handled folder, would you care to share you opinion on this particular knife? Its considered very affordable retailing at US$21.95. I am very interested in pursuing this particular model with a lighter and knife leather pouch. Your feedback is highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I do not know about the particular one you are talking about. However, my dad's company ordered Zippo lockbacks for its anniversary. I have one right in front of me. It is nice size and sharpness for a "pocket" knife. It has never really cut much and never been resharpened so I do not know about that, but the edge it has is thoroughly decent.
 
The company I work for sometimes gives us knives for breaking monthly records or anniversaries and such. Pretty cool ,eh ?
We get the Zippo knives sometimes. They are actually pretty nice. They come shaving sharp and will take a new edge when you need to. They seem to be made well. Solid little things. I haven't seen the plastic handled ones, only the steel handles.
For the price you can't go wrong.
 
I live in Bradford, Pa Zippo's (and Case's) hometown so I
have seen tons of these knifes and owned quite a few. Both
the metal handle and plastic handle are nice little pocket
knives. They're so small and light you don't even notice
them in your pocket. That being said if you're looking to
pay 21.95 for one of the plastic handled ones you are getting
seriously ripped off. I've never actually bought one (they
always been given to me by friends that work at Zippo) but I
don't think I'd pay more than 5 bucks for a plastic one. If
you're looking at the set with the lighter and leather pouch
included for 21.95 then thats a pretty good price though.

Many thanks for the outstanding input on the Zippo plastic knife. I'll probably take a look around in Singapore where they are also retailed across the shelves.. :D
