I was just wondering if zirc belts were opposed to water because it gets really old drying the blade off after every dunk when grinding.

Thanks,
Tim.

I don't wipe the blade off either. Your shirt gets dirty when the belts throws off the dirty water mixed with grindings, that's about it.

leave the water. in fact if you put some soap in it then you get an even coating that cools the blade while your grinding which means less dunking, more grinding.

Watch the water on your blade. It is gone in seconds due to the heat. Never had it affect the belt.

Ok cool. I know the silicon carbine paper is sold as water proof/wet and dry. So i was just wondering if water actually effects the glue or grit of the other ones. Did a little bit of grinding thisarvo and it's much easier not drying :D

belt should be running too fast for water to even settle on it.

i reckon you could soak the belt in water and it would have no effect on the adhesion of the grit
