Zircblasted Finish?

What is a zircblasted finish and how does it compare to glass or bead blast? Is it preferable to a stonewash?

I use Zirblast, which is a trade name for spherical zirconium oxide media. It leaves a VERY nice finish, like the best glass bead finish you've ever seen and the media doesn't break down at higher pressures like glass. That said, it's WAY more expensive than glass beads. I've also found that it holds up REALLY well on titanium, I have a theory that basically micro-shotpeening the surface work hardens it a bit.

Here's a Mayo I used the Zirblast on, it's lived in my back pocket for almost a year now.

Even the pocketclip barely has any snail trails🤯

I ran across Zirblasting on the internet and wondered if it was the same as zircblasting. Thanks for the info.
