Just picked up one of these on ebay because it looked so pretty.

I though the 2mm thickness was a misprint due to the dramatic appearance of the high hollow grind but it really is 2mm thick - that's 1mm thinner than the Spyderco Moran drop point.
Nicely made knife - very good fit and finish.
Only two items of note: 1. could be sharper 2. missing a piece of felt to cover the inside of the button on the sheath where it comes into contact with the blade.
I've been wondering about the steel used - Russian standard – 110x18 MSD.
Can't find anything on this.

Company name - ROS Oruzhie - Russian Arms from Zlatoust city in Ural moutans - kind of Russian Zolingen or Seki, another one is Tula. Was created to compete with Tula 200 years ago and they were actually craftsmen from Zolingen and Klingental who started production in Zlatous (200 years ago it was popular in Europe to immigtate to Russia, can you imagine!).

ROS Oruzhie is well respected company on Russian Market. AIR is different company also from Zlatoust.

110x18 very good steel, but very rear now after Soviet Union collapsed.

There are some restrictions on knives in Russia - this is why blade is too thin or it will be considered as an weapon.

This is other knife from ROS Oruzhie - Utes (Cliff) - 5mm thick ~$40 in Russia

This one actually save live to his owner in Chechnya.

Thanks, Vassili.

That's funny in that this knife strikes me just the opposite way.
Like this big swoopy boxcutter. The very tip is not ground, so it actually retains its 2mm thickness to the absolute tip. Properly sharpened it would easily penetrate a couple layers of clothing with tremendous slashing capability.
It is of course, just pure utility. A cutting tool like the AG Russell Deerhunter (.080").

Hi!
If you want to I can send you the chart where you can see all chemical elements in %. And you will be able to compere it with american standart.

I have found that some people will give you a bad rating simply because they don't agree with you.
