Here is one for when you run out of ammo and need something to take their heads off:D I forged this one a few months back and decided to finish it-Forged from I think a 32 oz ball pein..A couple ozs. short of two lbs.,over 3" of cutting edge,curly maple and a hammered finish 8 oz.haft cover for a secure grip..I guess you could use it for other tasks as well:pThanks for looking--Regards Butch

Awesome tomahawk. I am curious though, why did you use maple, aren't there tougher types of wood out there, like hickory. I am still learning about woods and I am just curious.

Yes, you are correct ash or hickory are tougher,I just like the look of the curly maple as do most buyers.The hafts are easy to change it uses a standard teardrop handle,might have to do a little fitting------Thanks for all the comments guys---Best Regards Butch
