Even in the midst of a chronic Zombie infestation, a bloke still has to keep in shape, right?

So I need a blade recommendations for power-endurance Zombie elimination, and also for cardio-vascular Zombie elimination workouts.

I am considering paired blades to give a fairly even exercise benefit.

For Power-Endurance, I'm thinking CG Busse Battle Mistresses or H.I. Ang Kohla 15" Khukuris might be the ticket.

For Cardio, perhaps Fallkniven A2s, Paul Chen Kami Wakizashis or Busse AK47s could be good choices

Also, what electrolyte drink should I fill my camelback with?

What do you all think? The Zombies are coming and I'd like to get some good workouts happening, get toned for summer 'n stuff:cool:

Only Blade suggestions please gentlemen, ladies and bastids :)

For blades think light and quick. You'll just tire yourself out swinging away unless your built like a tank and take HGH.

Vodka in the Camelback, and once you get really drunk, start punching rocks full force with your bare fist. . . In theory, you will become so strong that you can just one-punch the zombie heads- splattering them like melons under the devastating hammer of Gallagher. (Wear Goggles)

You don't need electrolytes, you need carbs. Fill your camelback with Cream of Wheat.

The smatchet isn't worth anything unless you get one at least 5/16" thick.

Sure, light and quick blades for the cardio zombie workout where you will be mowing down lots of Zombies, focussing on conserving some energy through good technique and economy of effort rather than going all out.

for the Power-Endurance workout, I was thinking more along the lines of breaking cover, then hacking up zombies with the heavy blades for a few minutes, then running away and hiding again - Higher weight & low reps.

Vodka in the camelback! energy and pain control in the one nutritious liquid- I like your thinking:):thumbup:

Will any Vodka do, or should I be using top shelf stuff. (would it be a crime to mix it with the cream of wheat? it IS an emergency situation, after all)

How about Vodka, Red Bull & Power Gel?

I would probably start on a makawari board and work up to rocks over time. I would still go for some spiked steel gauntlets to avoid Zombie bites. If I'm doing lots of punching training, Katars might be a good idea.

Forget hatchets and weird-looking blades. They will be stuck in zombie head or chest. Katana is the way to go! For even workout, alternate left and right diagonal swings. Silver-plating should also be considered.
As for vodka, why waste space? Use pure ethanol (also have garlic handy).

I never thought I see a Russian say "no" to Vodka. :D

why garlic? these are zombies...not vampires......there is no such thing as vampires silly.

How about the new spyderco kuk? (i forget it's official name, just now) And beyond that, I'll second Rat's Vodka recommendation, keep a lighter handy and improvise a flame-thrower if the nasty undead buggers get to close... :)

a scoped 22 rifle and a sak to maybe adust the scope from time to time!you will be ate if you rely on a knife in a heard of them and drink some hurricane or colt 45:D

Double Smatchets for sure(good for just about everything:D).
Or, a Nimravus in each hand for cardio zombie slaying.

Great thread, I find myself thinking the same thing on occasion. Once the zombie invasion begins and is in full swing, going to the gym doesn't seem like it would be a good idea (besides, if there are no women folk there, why bother). R. Finkenstein got me thinking, when their (zombies) numbers are low, maybe a sledge hammer(s) would be good for power endurance. They are heavy and effective (sp?). Start out on 1 maybe 2 zombies and work your way up until your fighting hordes at a time.

For cardio workouts, I (and this is only a personal preference) would go with a pair of Busse Aftershock Bolo's, they are fairly light 9 1/2 inch blades with a nice recurve for hacking heads clean off. Another choice of mine would be the BRK&T Evo-1 or BlackJack Mamba (almost the same knife and I can't find a pic).
