so i pre ordered the ZT 0055 from my go to dealer yesterday. I'm super intrigued by the hidden flipper tab as well as the shape of The blade. It looks like a super useful EDC blade. Aanyone else interested in this?

I thought the hidden flipper was awesome! Then I saw how i saw how it worked and was kinda disappointed, no magic involved, can you believe it!?

Either way it is a fine knife. However for ZTs I want a 920.

Kershaw Guy, Dave, has them in stock I believe. Price isn't that bad.

I'd have to order one to at least try if it weren't for the compound grinds, I don't get the appeal of doing that at all.

I feel the exact same way Greg! It seems to be a really cool design, but I can't see why that particular grind is on that blade.
I would have ordered one, if not for that blade profile.

It looks like a huge PITA to sharpen. I don't even know if I could do that by hand. I like the design of it, but in that price range there's a lot of other knives that I'd get before it.

I like this CKF model, despite it's tall spatula-style blade and goofy compound grind, in part because the split between the two grinds is back near the start of the blade. Even then, it still annoys me. It's one of those things I just don't get, I look at it and think "why?"

To me it just looks like a fun gimic. Not really interested in the knife itself just the mechanism.

Very well said. I'm anxious to check it out, but not sure It'll be for me. SnuggleBunny has a disassembly vid that shows crazy internal milling. I hope that's the new norm for ZT moving forward.
