Since I graduated high school recently, I was looking for a knife to buy myself as a graduation present. I tried a forum search, but didn't find much. Would you guys recommend the 0095 as a general use EDC blade?
In addition to my main blade, I always carry a Leatherman Wingman for the tools, so the ZT will only be used for knife things.

I have one that gets mixed in to my carry rotation a good bit. It is a tough knife, flips really well and has a great belly to it that cuts like a champ. I probably carry my ZT0220 or ZT0804CF a little more. No real reason why, just seems to turn out that way most days. I don't think you will be disappointed with the ZT0095BW at all. Here is mine with my 909:

Congrats on your graduation!

I don't have a ZT0095BW, but I have a Russian market 0095 and it's a fine knife...but I think ZT might have some better ones. Check out an 0562, one of the current best ZT offerings, but don't neglect the 0808 or 0450. Check out also the Spyderco PM2 or the Gayle Bradley 1. For the price of an 0095BW, you can also get into a Reate Hills or a Kizer Velox 2.

Love my 0095BW. I took it apart, cleaned it, put Nano Oil in the bearings and on the detent ball/track and it is smoooooooth. Great cutter with some belly and thin for slicing. Also again it looks really sweet.

Best ZT model ever IMO. Slicy as hell with great flipping action. I prefer it over Sebenza25 or Para2 as working knife.

DLC stonewash is by far the toughest finish ever. You will barely see any sign of wear even if you using it everday for years. Highly recommend.

Added a G-Wood (G10) scale to mine. Took off about 1.5 oz. Tuned the action: cleaned, lubed pivot, bearings & adjusted the lockbar tension. Had to remove the steel, overtravel insert to do it right (and that was a bitch on this knife, screwed in AND felt press fit), but it got done. It was a great knife out of the box, but I love it even (way) more now. Achieved perfect centering & perfect detent (for my taste). Insanely great slicer with unbelievable action now. Rivals my Shiros & Thorburns for smoothness, opening & closing. Substantially lighter now and a total pleasure to carry. So great I got a second one and duplicated the action of the first one. One of my favorite ZT's...ever.

The 0095 bw might be my favorite Zt! What's not to like, it has the slick flipping action that Zt is know for and slices well.
