Hello Fellow Kershaw Forumites,

I'm in the market for a new fixed blade. I own many Kershaws but no ZT's as of yet. The ZT 0100 looks pretty good and it's 3V blade is what's keeping me interested. I hear a lot of good things about the ZT line, but not a whole lot about the 0100.

Any user info and reviews would be great.

Just as a comparison, the other fixed I’m interested in is the RAT line (RC4 or 6) just to give you an idea of what I'm looking for.

No personal experience here, unfortunately, but according to a ZT/Kershaw rep during a knife show taping, it's beefy enough to wedge in a crevice and use as a step up a cliffside without detriment. I've also seen a video of it being wacked through a full water bottle without too much effort.

3V apparently offers impact toughness approaching the level of S7 and greater than A2, D2 and M4. It's also highly wear-resistant and hard to break or chip. It's another industrial tool steel that works well in a knife blade.

Sorry none of this is actual user experience, and it's probably nothing you don't already know. Nevertheless, I do believe they are fine knives.

Ray :)

Nevermind...

Who's got the best price on the 0100 ? Redsst I'm also thinking of either the ZT0100 or RC4 - RC6 .

not many places sell it. try google product search.

and I would kill for an 0100, I just don't have a couple (few?) hundred dollars for a fixed blade that won't get much use.

Thanks for the info reholli.

I'm not really sure on prices. I haven't looked too hard though either. If I find some good ones, I'll let you know.
