Looks like I may end up in the sandbox soon and want a good fixed blade to bring along. My search has brought me to the 0100 but I'm a little hesitant since I havent heard much about it . So I'm looking for any real reviews or someone whos had real experince with it.

Feel free to share any pictures you might have also.

If I were getting any serious combat knife, it would be at the top of my list. It took 4000+ lbs of pressure to break one. No human can break one without using a leverage tool to do so...

Someone here had a video link on the 0100 that was done at SHOT or BLADE, can't remember which. I also thought I had it bookmarked, but can't find that either. Hopefully someone else will come along with them.

That said, I don't think you could do much better than the 0100. Part of what I do remember showed them hacking out mortar between cinder blocks and using the knife as a step...

I wonder whether ZT0100 cuts well. Have a MOD Mark V ATAC, MOD Mark II and must say that their blades tend to chop instead of cutting. Even when regrinded, cause too thick at the edge. Would appreciate an opinion.

Well, now I have an opinion. The knife is a beauty. Maybe to the detriment of utility, but this needs to be cleared through practical application. It does cut well (however, I regrinded it a bit and made the angle sharper). Has anyone noticed how hard it is to find a picture of such a key component of a blade as its tip from above? Thickness and geometry of a tip. It is this part of a blade that is often abused. So, speaking of ZT 0100, its tip seems to me exceedingly refined, slender. It's needle-sharp - wouldn't like to find myself in its path! But for those www.knifetests applications it could be a bit thicker. I am not even 100% sure whether its tip would withstand throwing, though I hope it would (need to get to the woods to try) ;)
