ZT 0200: coating removal - how hard?

I have been hoping to get the Knifeworks exclusive Satin finish, but short of that happening if I trade a blade I have now for the 0200 with the standard black coating, how hard would it be to remove the coating and produce an attractive looking satin finish? I used to have the 0200 and now miss it so when and if I do in fact get one again I want to be sure that with hand sanding and my dremel with green compound I can get the look I want.

What do you think? Does anyone have a pic one you have stripped or otherwise modded? Thanks all.

You'd be better off buying a KW one then trying to get the DLC off

agreed, talk to knifeworks, ull spend more on chemicals than is worth it

SoLo blasted the DLC coating off my 0400. He can also do a satin finish like he did to my Spyderco Valloton. Email him to be sure though. johnsonknives @ gmail.com
