This has to be one of the best buys going. I wish the 0200 had the speed safe opening like the 302. Could it be put on the knife? Has anyone got the satin finished blade 0200?

I've got the black blade. I don't know about speed-safe on the 0200 --mine opens so fast off that little flipper, I can hardly see the blade in motion. Besides its solid construction, the blade is as great a slicer as I own. Like my other big knives, it's a bit heavy for summer clothes, but we are coming up on the season for them. :)

The liners are 1/16" and I would say this is as tough as you can handle, probably as tough as the Strider SnG or Extrema Ratio Nemesis, being 2 others I have.

Nice, I have been looking for a big tough folder, and I really like the 0300 but the 0200 is so much cheaper and it looks better in my opinion. Thanks Esav!

I have a 301 and took the spring out, the blades rockets out, don't need assist. Knives with lighter blades ok.

If i got one, i think i would take the spring out too, I really dont care for the psring assisting in knives. I just watched a review by nutnfancy on youtube and it doesnt seem as big as it should.

Speed assist is fun but not necessary. If I had a choice between a manual 0200 and 0300, I'd still take the 0200. I have big enough hands but the 0300 still feels clumsy compared to the 0200. It's just too wide a handle for me to like it.

would you say the quality of the zt's are on par with strider? The strider costing a lot more I would guess not, but ya never know. I have a small micarta sebenza, so i think these knives would seem huge to me

The ZT line of knives are an excellent buy, especially the ZT0200. I have two Strider AR's and I would say that the overall quality between the AR's and the ZT0200 are closer than the price would lead you to believe. The 0200 is built like a tank, and the AR's are built like a tank killer:eek:, but I would trust either one in my pocket and not feel any shortcommings if it was the ZT.

WHOAH, WHOA, WHOA - did somebody just hint that there is a satin finish blade option available for the ZT0200??

Can anyone confirm this, and tell me where I can get one?

Thanks - Jim

jimmer_5, I don't know of any satin finish blade. Unless someone did it themselves.
ZT knives were designed for military/leo etc...
so my guess would be that most are dark handled and black bladed for a reason.
Shiny blades during nightops and the like? I dunno.

If you do see a satin finish on one, let us know.

Here is the satin ZT0205. Someone posted it in an earlier thread.

DAMN YOU GUYS.

The only thing that kept me from ordering a ZT0200 was I do not like the DLC. Love my 0300 with satin blade so I HAD to order this model.

Really I had no choice.

Spiralarchitect - Darn You!! I mean, Thank you!! Now I gotta come up with another $130!! I think I'm gonna have to get this one!

I think a satin finish blade and OD green G-10 would be the ultimate for me, but I'm not gonna look a gift horse in hte mouth!

While we are at it, can anyone tell me how thich the 0200 handle is? I thought it was thicker than an 0200, but I'm not sure.

Thanks - Jim

Seriously, can anyone give me a number on the overall thickness of the ZT0200 handle? I'm wondering how much thicker it is than my 0300 (my calipers put the 0300 at .610" thickness at the thickest point)
