What a knife! This thing's a handful! It feels so solid when it opens up.

I have a question for those of you who own a 0300/0301/0302: Is the titanium side of your knife about the same shade of gray as the blade? (I'm referring to the dark part of the tiger striping for you 0301/0302 owners.)

I was not able to see a 0300 in person before ordering this one, only pictures, so I thought the titanium was quite a bit darker than what I'm looking at now---more like a dark charcoal gray. The titanium on my knife appears to be the same color as the Tungsten DLC coating on the blade, which is a dark gray but certainly not as dark as the black clip. (In direct sunlight, even the black clip looks like a very dense gray, so I guess all things concerning color are relative.)

I'm not unhappy with the color of the titanium, just a little surprised that it's not closer to the color of the G-10 side, as it appeared in several pictures.

What does your 0300/0301/0302 titanium look like? Also, does anyone know if the titanium handle is treated with Tungsten DLC, like the blade?

Below are two 0300 pictures I ran across. The lighter one looks like mine actually looks in person. Perhaps the darker one is just a lighting illusion and it's not really that dark.

Well, my ZT0300's are both T.A.D. editions, so I'm not sure how valid any comparison is. One's a ZT0300DW (Desert DigiCamo G10) and the other is a ZT0300CFBLK (Black Carbon Fiber).

The DLC on the Ti side of both is about the same color and darkness level as the clip and Hinderer disk, perhaps just a hair lighter than the DLC on the black blade of the ZT0300CFBLK and close to the the color of the Carbon Fiber. This is under incandescent lighting...I'll try and remember to check them tomorrow under natural sunlight.

Ray :)

Great looking knife! A little over-built for me though. I think I might get an 0200 when I have the chance!
