ZT 0300 v. ZT 0561

I think it depends on your intended use...
I have the 301 and 303 and 0560....
I really like both designs... but I prefer the 0560. It's lighter. I like the clip design more. I like the blade shape more for EDC use. If I had to bug out and knew shit was going to get bad and I really needed a tank... I'd take the 0301 probably... but for every day use, I prefer the Hinderer designed knife. I actually have 2 0550's being delivered next week that I may be switching to. We'll see.
This certainly isn't a knock against the 300 or 350 series. I have a really enjoy them... and switch things up pretty regularly... but for comfort and daily utility... the 560 works best for me. YMMV. Cheers!

I work in an industrial environment and use my EDC knife to strip wire, strip cable jackets, cut tubing and every now and then cut rope. I'm carrying a ZT 0350 now and love it. I own a few other folders and am looking to add to and enhance my collection.
I'm leaning towards the ZT 0561 now but would love to eventually own both.

I'm sure you will own both eventually. If you already have the 350, the 561 would be good to get a taste for the different design. If you find that you preferred the 350 design, the 300 a 350 on steroids. heh.

I too work in a industrial environment. I would take my 0301 at work rather than my 0560. The shape of the blade seem to fit the tasks I need it for better. I carried my 0350 for over a year before I got my other ZT's.
I like my 0560 for when I'm not at work, the low ride clip helps hide the fact i have a big-o knife in my pocket

I like my 0301 more than my 0560. Both are great knives, and they each have some characteristics I like more than on the other.
The handle on the 0300 is fairly wide, which fits my hand more comfortably. It does make it a bit too large for front pocket carry for me, so I carry mine in my back pocket. The SpeedSafe works well on it, but the 0300 will not function as a manual knife without drilling your own detent hole. The recurve blade does provide more cutting power (keeps the edge dug into the material you're cutting), but it can be a bit more challenging to sharpen.
The 0560 is a big knife, but it carries more like a medium-sized knife. It is narrower and lighter than the 0300, and it features a deep carry clip. The KVT system is incredibly smooth and opens as fast as an assisted-opener once you get the technique right. Also, because it is a manual knife, there isn't the dependency on the torsion bar. The more traditional edge profile (no recurve) is also easier to sharpen.
What puts the 0300 above for me is the handle and how it fits in my hand. The wider handle gives me a more solid-feeling grip, especially closer to the pivot, in the choil for my index finger. Also, the tiger stripe finish is awesome.

Agreed on the 30x fitting the hand better. Love my 560 but the jimping is a bit aggressive for me...
