Does anyone have pics of both knives side by side. I have read all the reviews on these, but would like to see them together to get an idea of the size differences.

Thanks

Here you go along with a few other Kershaws. These are from a previous thread.

kneedeep--do you have the very first Offset? It looks like that on the blade...

Wow that Tyrade sure is big.

Wow I didn't realize the tyrade was that big.Now I gotta find one:D

I wish, the Offset is from the first production run of 500, so the blade says 1 of 500 - not #1 of 500.

Only the first run with the black blades were numbered.

Wow, they're all pretty close in size. I've had a JYD, Offset, Spec Bump, & just recently, a ZT 0302.

I have to say, though, I love the feel of the ZT 300s so much better than the others, it's amazing. I generally don't like larger folders, but the ZT 300 is just amazing in its feel & F&F.

Great Pics!!!! Thanks a lot. That is what I was hoping for. I love the collection you have in the Kershaw large folder catagory. I will try and catch up over the next year.
Do you like the thumb stud lock on the OFFset and Bump?

The Stud Lock is one of the best...rock solid! It takes a little practice to release it properly one-handed because it's better for the mechanism if you use both studs, but it doesn't take long to pick it up. I close mine two-handed most of the time anyway, but one-handed is no problem.

Ray :)

I love the stud lock, whenever I carry one for a while, it is very difficult to go back to using a liner or frame lock (pushin' on the thumbstuds trying to figure out why it won't close, or in the case of the JYD's where the heck did the thumbstuds go?)

Since the stud lock is symmetrical, it is an ambidextrous lock, additionally it is hard to imagine the lock could defeat by twisting the knife without the entire knife breaking.

And you never have to put your fingers in the line of fire with the stud lock. That alone makes me a big fan of the mechanism.

I wish the Tyrade was able to be carried tip up.
*sigh*

I'll still have to get me one anyways though.

There's always STR for custom pocket clips... though you might have to send the knife to him to have it drilled and tapped for tip up carry...

So which is considered the overall better knife? 0300 or Tyrade? Everywhere copper colored on the tyrade is titanium?

I got rid of my 301 after getting my Tyrade. I prefer the Tyrade over any other Kershaw/ZT I have ever owned personally. Both slabs of copper brown colored scales on the Tyrade are indeed titanium by the way.

To me the choice was obvious between the ZT 301 and 302 vs Tyrade. Both are about the same length but the Tyrade carries much better in the pocket, weighs less and to my eyes is more sheeple friendly. Until it came out my favorite Kershaw model was still in the air. Now the Tyrade is tops in my book. Still a bit bigger than my normal pref but I sure love it!

So its a yet unreleased model (tyrade)? how come so many people have them already if they havent even reached the website yet?

eatingmuchface, you can just search "tyrade" and you will find what you are looking for. Check out the tyrade pass around boards. Good stuff there.
