ZT 0301 De-assist help?

Has anyone done this before and can help me out with some instructions? From what I understand, and please correct me if I'm wrong, the 0301 has a detent ball but no detent hole. So what I'd need to do is remove the metal spring and then drill a hole in the blade for the detent ball to fall into right? What size drill bit and what type drill bit would i need? I'm assuming I cant just use any old cheapo drill bits as the s30v is gonna be pretty tough to get through?
