Hey guys, I'm currently working on a trade with another member. He says he has a ZT 0302, but without a flipper. Has this knife ever been produced? Is it a one off, 1st run, or prototype? I might be able to get pics, but I wonder if Thomas could answer this one for me.

Would like to see a pic ks, but I've never heard of a 302 without a flipper.

If the flipper was ground off for some reason, could the sharpened edge make contact with the lead finger (in the choil) if the frame lock failed? One of the features I really like is the security of knowing that if I can cause the frame lock to fail (and I don't really think I can with the solid lockup on my ZT0302) I know that the flipper will contact my lead finger and there is no way the edge will contact my finger. It looks to me like grinding off the flipper might allow part of the edge to contact the finger.

Actually I guess it isn't really a choil because it is in the handle - maybe I should just call it a finger cut-out in the handle. :o
