ZT 0350 Blade Play When Closed?

I've had a ZT 0350 since about Christmas. When I first got it the blade was not centered properly (almost touching the non-locking side) but since it wasn't rubbing against the liner I chose to ignore it. Recently when I tried to re-center the bade, which didn't work, I believe I discovered the source of the problem. Even with the pivot point tightened down so far that the blade couldn't open there was still enough play that you could push the blade to touch either side of the handle, allowing the liner lock to push the blade off center. There is no detectable play when it is open. Is this normal?

Thanks for your help!

That's pretty normal in folders. If the blade isn't touching the liners in normal use I wouldn't worry about it

I can't recall ever owning a knife that didn't have blade play while closed. I'd say it's pretty normal.

I have the same knife. It centers perfectly but when it's closed has a little play. It's normal and not anything to worry about.

I think I had a wobbly blade in an ancient Benchmade Talon. It was my first good folder and I played with the pivot until it was blazing fast but loose too. I have since tightened it back up and there is no more wobble. I also no longer mess with the pivot screws on my knives and just leave them as they come. I don't flick, flip, flop or whatever. I have time to open the knife slowly and not damage it.
