I have a 0350 coming to my house from the exchange. I was wondering how they work deassisted. Do they flip well deassisted? Also, do they have bushings or bearings?

I would not recommend it since the detent ball is ify on it and some time none existent in some of the A/Os by kershaw. It definitely doesn't have bearings or bushings. It's just plain phosbronze with the torsion spring.

The tort ion bar on my cyclone broke 3 day after I got it. Little pissed. But the blade stayed in place and I can open it faster without it. I like speed assist.....

Many people have done this, including me. Works fine. Never had a concern with the detent on mine . I do remember some bit about the composite blade 0350s not having a detent, but im not sure now.

Anyway, the 0350 I have operates unassisted perfectly.

So it has phospher bronze bushings/washers. That should make my life easier. I guess ill just try deassisting it and see how it works.

I have 2 de-assisted 0350's. The detent on both are fine however I really can't flip them open (without wrist flip) unless there's a little blade play side-to-side. As soon as I tighten the pivot up to the zero blade play point I can no longer flip them open. (again, with no wrist, just the finger)

If a tortion spring does fail, its usually a right away due to a defect. It does happen but ZT does have a great customer service department and will ship a replacement upon request

My 0350WW does not have a detent so when I attempted to de-assist it would not flip without wrist action. Centering was also an issue without the tortion bar. All in all, I prefer it assisted. If I want a manual knife, I'll grab something else

You should be fine...If the detent feels weak, just bend the lock bar in 1mm at a time. Clean the blade, the liners and the bushings where they all contact just to rule out any drag from dirt or gunk.
