Hey everybody, I'm looking at getting either the 0350 or the 0200 and I can't decide. Im looking for a hard use work blade (not really looking at them for tactical purposes). I can't decide on if the spring asisst is a selling point or if the extra weight on the 0200 is worth it. Is there anyone that has both that could help me out? Or anyone who has handled them that could vouch for them, I know you can't go wrong with ZT but I want to be sure that my $150 went to the best knife!

I personally think that the 0200's blade handles a wider variety of tasks and I also think that the action is smoother (even without the spring assist). I also find the handle much more comfortable.

If it's going in your pocket, I'd say 0350 or 0560 if you could swing it. If it's going in a pack or something that won't be EDC'd, then the 0200 is an amazing knife for the money.

Can't speak for the 0200 but just picked up the 0350 in a trade. Great size and weight for edc. I believe the 0200 is quite a bit larger.

You can't go wrong with either one. As has already been said, the 0350 carries better in the pocket, but the handles on the 0200 are very comfortable for extended use. Here they are side by side.

BTW: This might be better asked over in the Kershaw/ZT forum.

Thank you for the side by side! That's what I needed still can't decide but leaning towards the 0200.

I like my 0350. It is the biggest knife I'd pocket carry (Blur fits me best). I love the assisted Kershaw blades. So the 0350 is a must have for me, but doesn't get carried a ton. It is plenty big of a knife for a folder (for me and most IMHO).

My 0200 was pocketed once. Opened and folded. Then sold. It is a comfortable handle for sure. But too big to pocket carry. And the flipper stabs the middle of my thumb every time I go to close the knife. If I need a knife that big, I should be using a fixed blade or bar. I will get a 0300 one day (assisted addict thing again). But I'll plan on pack or belt carrying it.

I vote 0350.

Don't worry about size/weight differences between the two. They're both big, chunky knives so it's really down to your preference of blade steel, opening method, and ergos. I've handled both and I ended up buying the 0200.

And the flipper (on the 0200) stabs the middle of my thumb every time I go to close the knife.
Then move your thumb before you start to close it. Not that big of a deal.

You're welcome. Here's a pic showing the lock set-up side by side. The steel liners are about the same thickness. The blade and the G10 on the 0200 are thicker.

I have both also.....I guess I have big hands cause the 0200 fits like it was made for me, well besides the tilt....that really feels the best!

Holy crap....about 2 months ago I bought the zt0200 for $120 shipped...now the same place, has them for $160.00!!!

Ya. Just not right in the hand for me. The flipper bonks my thumbnail after the knife is barely unlocked. Then it's a fumbling match whether I'd get it closed or do the "Oh phoqu! I'm going to loose a toe!" dance as I do the splits at the speed of light before the knife pins my foot to the ground. I'll stick to my Blur, Shallot, Leek, Chive, Black Out, Skyline(s), Needs Work, Scallion, or my 0350 when I feel like a carrying a huge knife. ;)

Well... I found the perfect solution.. I orded them both :) ! Looks like im eating Ramen this month.

Getting both was going to happen eventually, Lol. :D Congrats and I, for one, am pretty sure that you'll be happy with your new ZTs....either one can handle anything that you throw at them.

I'm in the same situation but can afford both at once... How comparable in size is the 200 to a cs recon 1? And is the 350 more like the spyderco tenacious in size? Can any of you guys post comparison with any of these knives? Thanks

Go with the zt0350, (short story) I was at work the other day and just got do e cuting some high temp tape to hold some metal crates together with a plane part on it. The part was going into a autoclave ( a autoclave is a heat and pressure machine for those who didn't know). So anyway I accidentally left my knife on the crates and my knife got cooked at over 350 degrees with about 45 pounds of pressure applied. The next day after being pissed thinking I lost my knife, my buddy gave it to me at work, had he not said anything I would not have ever known it got cooked. The materials and build of that knife is awsome. Let me take some pics and you will see that it looks just like normal

That's crazy... I'm a plumber by trade in a government facility and I'm worried that the 200 may be to big for work.... Black samurai, is the handle on your 350 big enough that the lanyard hole clears the bottom of your hand? I wear a size large glove and hate small knife handles
