Just bought a ZT0350 Composite Blade.
A quote form the site where I bought it~~~
The blade is a composite blade that consists of 14C28N stainless steel on top with ELMAX for the sharp edge of the blade. Textured, matte-black G-10 scales provide a secure grip.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Made in the USA
Steel: 14C28N Steel upper/ELMAX lower: High chromium-vanadium-molybdenum alloyed steel
Handle: Textured black G-10
Blade Length: 3-1/4 in. (8.25 cm)
Closed Length: 4-5/8 in. (11.75 cm)
Overall Length: 7-7/8 in. (20.002 cm)
Weight: 6.2 oz.
Limited to 999 knives for sale and I have one of them. I have to say since my first ZT knife I have been blown away with the way they stay sharp and sharpen with ease. The re-curve geometry is hard to get sharp enough at the end of the blade though. I over look it and concentrate on the positives. There are plenty! TANK. Huge blade loads of real estate when you hold one. The grips are thicker than other knives and seem to fit like a glove.
The "Speed Safe" feature is just as fast as a switchblade and now carries no penalty what a bonus!
I have NO idea what El-Max steel is but since I have no idea I figure it is rare and on the edge for a reason. Can't wait till Friday when it arrives!
Want a rock of a knife? But a Zero Tolerance ans see for yourself.
Peace.
